Suki

Japanese Akita Suki is a gentle soul, despite all she has been through. Suki was let loose to fend for herself after her backyard breeders used her as a puppy factory. Sometime in her earlier years, Suki suffered a significant injury to her hips. Despite her serious injury, she still made puppies. It must have been very painful. But after all that, she retains a gentle sweetness. Suki so wants to trust people.

Suki is a brindle moku (long coat). She is around five years old, spayed, microchipped and current on all her shots. When Suki’s coat rejuvenates, she will be very flashy. Her hip injury does not keep her from prancing and dancing about. Suki is not a dog to go on ten mile hikes but she loves leash walks. In fact she needs to stay in shape. Right now there is no evidence of arthritis but if she doesn’t move those bones, they could develop arthritis.

Suki shows no reaction to other dogs. Her first foster mom reported she does well with littles and with cats. Suki is being fostered in Palmdale CA and is available for adoption through A Passion for Paws Akita Rescue.

Fritz and Momo

These two Japanese Akitas were rescued from Lancaster/LA County shelter. They were stuck out of public view because they were deemed aggressive. Both were dumped at the shelter by a supposedly 'breeder'. Please research before you buy a puppy. I have never seen a more devoted boy dog than Fritz. He loves his girl dog. I promised him they will never be separated again. Recent rescues Fritz and Momo are still in recovery mode. Can you say bonded?

They are currently in rehab and will be available through A Passion for Paws when they are ready. Please email Patricia for more information.
